Scan-to-reorder packing insert
Your best next sale is someone who already loved the first one. Make reordering one scan.
A customer opens the box, pours a glass and loves it. That's the moment they're most likely to buy again. But when the bottle runs out weeks later, they have to remember your name, find your website, search for the product and start the checkout from scratch. Many never get that far.
Scan-to-reorder packing inserts close that gap. Each product or case you ship gets its own branded card, tucked in the box. When the customer is ready for more, they scan the QR code and the same product is already waiting in their Shopify cart. No searching, no menus, no product page. A few taps and the next order is done.
This isn't a print job. It's a repeat-sales tool: the card is simply the part your customer sees.
How it works
Scan. The customer scans the card that came in their box.
Reorder. The same bottle, case or mixed case is already in their cart.
Check out. They pay, or add something new while they're there.
Built for repeat buyers
Wineries and cellar doors: a card in every case so the customer can reorder the wine they're already drinking
Wine clubs and mixed cases: reload a curated mixed dozen in a single scan
Distilleries, breweries and coffee roasters: any product people run out of and come back for
Producers and Shopify brands: anyone shipping products that customers buy more than once
What's included
Shopify cart links set up and tested for each product, quantity or mixed case
QR codes checked on iPhone and Android
Insert card design in your brand, sized to suit your packaging
Print-ready files, or print production managed for you
Optional extras: a returning-customer discount built into the link, or tracking so you can see how many reorders each card brings in
How quantity works
Each package covers up to five cards. Every card gets its own Shopify cart link, QR code and insert design.
One card is one thing a scan adds to the cart: a single bottle, a case of 6, a case of 12 or a mixed case. If you ship three different wines, that's three cards, so each customer gets the card that matches what they bought.
Need more than five? Just increase the quantity at checkout. A quantity of 2 covers up to 10 cards, 3 covers up to 15, and so on.
The price includes setup, testing on iPhone and Android, and print-ready files. If you'd like me to manage printing, I'll quote it separately once I know how many copies you need.
Why it works
Repeat customers, less marketing. You've already won them over. The card makes coming back effortless.
It arrives at the right moment. The card is in their hands while they're enjoying the product, not buried in an inbox.
Bigger reorders. Preloading a case makes reordering twelve as easy as reordering one.
Proof it worked. With tracking on, you can see exactly how many reorders your inserts bring in.
Why a card in the box
Emails get skimmed and deleted. A beautiful card in the box gets kept: on the fridge, in the wine rack, next to the coffee machine. It sits there quietly until the bottle or bag runs low, then takes the next order.
Pair it with a tasting table display
The Scan-to-order tasting table display wins the first order at the tasting. The reorder insert wins the second one at home. Together they cover the whole customer journey, from first sip to regular buyer.
Already ordering tasting table displays? Mention it in your brief and I'll design the inserts as a matching set.
